A Message from our Executive Director
"For I was hungry..."
How helping to provide meals and support share God's Love
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me
drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” - Matthew 25:35
Matthew 25:35 is more than just another verse for us here at Gospel Rescue Mission. It’s our marching orders – a directive from the King of Kings on how we are to be His hands and feet at the Mission.
Each and every day, we endeavor to provide a place of comfort and provision for the homeless and hungry throughout Tucson. For those without a place to lay their head, we provide clean beds. For the disheveled, we give clean clothes and showers. For the hungry, we gladly share food and drink.
Why? Because these simple things, when given from Christ’s hands, do amazing things.
After all, who would expect an enchilada to do anything more than fill a stomach? But as our February 2018 Newsletter's cover story illustrates, a simple meal, given in love can open the door to life transformation.
We are truly thankful for the amazing faithfulness of each of our donors, volunteers, our community partners, and the opportunity we have to provide these meals and testimonies of God’s love!
Thank you all for helping to make amazing things like this possible through your continued partnership.
As we look toward the future, we are excited to see God moving to allow us to reach out in new, more effective ways and win countless more hearts for the Kingdom. Watch your mailbox for more details. In the meantime – God bless you all!
