A Bell that Continues to Ring
Honoring a hidden, long-time friend of the Mission
To say Kit Osgood is a humble man is putting it mildly. Despite being responsible for financing many of the biggest projects at the Mission, Kit has
always shied away from any public recognition.
“I asked him to come to a board meeting once so we could say thank you,” says Executive Director Roy Tullgren. “He humbly declined saying something like, ‘I haven’t earned the honor of meeting them. I haven’t really done much for your organization yet.’ I couldn’t believe that statement! Kit has been our biggest difference maker… since the initial group of people started the Mission in 1953!”
We finally found a way to recognize Kit in a way he would accept. We presented him with the coveted Ben’s Bell Award for spreading kindness daily and making our communities a better place to live.
We are forever grateful, Kit, for your selflessness and commitment to rescuing and changing lives.
