We depend on volunteers just like you!
It takes hundreds of everyday-people volunteering to keep Gospel Rescue Mission operating and serving those who need help in our Tucson community and neighbors. We depend on the unique giftings that God has given each of His children to bring balance and help us to be the best blessing we can be to the community. Whatever your talent or skill, "There is something YOU can do!"
Process of Becoming a Volunteer
These are the eight steps to becoming a Volunteer Partner.
1. Initial Contact
Potential volunteer partners will be contacted to schedule a VIP Tour
2. Orientation and VIP Tour
Potential Volunteer Partners fill out the application and return it to the Volunteer Office for processing.
4. Interview and Selection Process
An interview is scheduled with an on-site Volunteer Coordinator. During this meeting, current volunteer opportunities and job descriptions are made available and discussed.
This is the Volunteer Partner's opportunity to visit the departments and staff where their placement will be made to ensure a good fit.
6. Training and Equipping
Volunteer Partner training on their chosen job and assignments is provided. GRM Staff will monitor this step to allow for successful placement.
7. Serving and Following Up
After four weeks of service, Volunteer Partners will be contacted to see how things are going. Later, quarterly follow-ups will be scheduled.
This is the final step where the Volunteer Partner is equipped to grow and mature in their ministry position. As they progress in their role, if they wish, they are encouraged to take on more ownership as appropriate.
