Mission Connection
Once Trina learned about the vision and mission of Gospel Rescue Mission and the Center of Opportunity—and witnessed firsthand how guests are treated with dignity and respect—she felt an overwhelming conviction that God had uniquely equipped her to help. Drawing from her experiences as a soldier, counselor, pastor, and business owner, she finds deep purpose in serving alongside GRM’s team to help alleviate poverty and restore hope in the community.
One of her favorite moments is worshiping at the GRM Chapel, where she describes the joy and surrender to the Spirit of God as “the most beautiful worship experience in Tucson.”

Personal Background
Trina was born and raised in California and raised her family in New Hampshire before moving to Tucson in 2013—declaring that “snow is a destination, not a lifestyle.” She and her husband, Dave, co-pastored churches in both New Hampshire and Tucson before retiring from ministry in 2024. Trina holds a master’s degree in professional counseling and is a proud combat veteran, having served in Iraq in 2004 and retiring from the U.S. Army in 2007.

Fun Fact
A combat veteran, former “Tupperware Lady,” exchange student in Mexico City, and one-time Russian linguist, Trina jokes that she is “illiterate in several languages.” Her diverse life experiences continue to shape her joyful and humble approach to serving others.
