A Morning of Faith, Hope, and Transformation

Good Friday reminds us that even in moments of sacrifice, suffering, and uncertainty, hope is never lost. It is a sacred pause in the story—a reminder that love ultimately triumphs, and that redemption is possible even in the darkest moments. The Good Friday Breakfast invites us to step away from the rush of everyday life to reflect on that truth together.
This gathering is more than a meal. It is an opportunity to come together as a community committed to love in action—compassion that sees the person behind the struggle, and faith that moves beyond words into meaningful care. As we share this morning, we are reminded that when people unite around a common purpose, lives can be restored.
Through powerful stories, a shared vision for the future, and the collective impact of generosity, you’ll see how Gospel Rescue Mission walks alongside men, women, and children at every stage of their journey. From meeting urgent needs to creating pathways for recovery, stability, and purpose, GRM remains committed to helping our neighbors move from homelessness to wholeness.

About Miles Simon
Miles Simon’s journey from Tucson basketball legend to LA Lakes and Phoenix Suns Coach to Atlanta Hawks scout reflects a life built on faith, excellence, and genuine connection. As the heart of Arizona’s 1997 NCAA Championship team, Miles didn’t just bring home a title—he became part of Tucson’s soul. His Most Outstanding Player performance that magical March still resonates in our community today.
But Miles’s greatest victories extend far beyond the court. His unwavering faith guides everything he does, from mentoring young players to building family-like unity within every team he touches. He leads with compassion and courage, having difficult conversations others avoid because he truly cares about developing character alongside talent.
Miles understands struggle and triumph intimately, and he uses both to lift others up. Whether coaching, scouting, or simply being present in someone’s life, he demonstrates Christ-like empathy and authenticity. Meeting People Where They Are
In a perfect world, everyone struggling would simply walk through our doors. But shame, fear, and mistrust often make that impossible. OPERATION RESCUE bridges that gap—going directly into communities to offer compassionate, dignified first connections that transform lives.
The Impact
Through consistent presence in parks, housing complexes, neighborhoods, and community spaces, we’re:
- Breaking down barriers that prevent people from accessing vital services
- Building trust through genuine care and repeated engagement
- Creating pathways from crisis to stability, from homelessness to wholeness
- Opening doors to life-changing support for those ready to take that first step
