Pima Community College

Training for Lasting Careers, Right Here on Campus

At Gospel Rescue Mission, we know that providing shelter and recovery is only the beginning. Long-term transformation happens when men and women gain the skills and confidence they need to thrive in today’s workforce. That’s why we are proud to partner with Pima Community College (PCC)—bringing industry-recognized training programs directly to our campus.

Through this partnership, GRM guests have access to specialized cohorts in fields that are in high demand across Tucson and beyond. These programs equip participants not only with technical skills, but also with the confidence and credentials to secure better-paying, more rewarding jobs.

Training Where It’s Needed Most

By offering PCC programs on-site at GRM, we remove barriers that often prevent our guests from pursuing education—such as transportation, cost, or lack of support. In a familiar, supportive environment, they gain access to college-level instruction and the opportunity to earn certifications that employer’s value.

The result? A direct pathway from recovery to self-sufficiency through meaningful, sustainable careers.

Cohorts Offered

Culinary Arts

Food has the power to bring people together—and to build careers. Through Culinary Arts cohorts, students learn:

  • Professional cooking and baking techniques
  • Food safety and kitchen operations
  • Menu planning and hospitality skills

Graduates are prepared for jobs in restaurants, catering, institutional kitchens, and even to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

Building Construction Technology

Tucson is growing, and so is the demand for skilled trades. The Building Construction Technology cohort prepares participants with training in:

  • Carpentry, electrical, and plumbing basics
  • Construction site safety and management
  • Hands-on skills for residential and commercial building

These skills open doors to stable, high-paying jobs in one of our region’s most important industries.

Logistics & Supply Chain

With Tucson’s role as a hub for trade and distribution, logistics is a fast-growing career field. The Logistics cohort equips students with:

  • Inventory control and warehouse management
  • Transportation and supply chain operations
  • Industry-standard technology and systems training

Graduates are ready for rewarding positions in distribution centers, shipping, and supply chain management—fields with strong demand and growth potential.

Impact Beyond the Classroom

These cohorts are more than classes—they are lifelines. Each graduate leaves with:

  • Practical skills employers are actively seeking
  • Credentials and certifications recognized by industry leaders
  • The confidence to pursue a career, not just a job

For our community, this means more qualified workers, stronger families, and a brighter future for Tucson.
