A Day of Renewal
Guests in Gospel Rescue Mission’s Workforce Development Program had the opportunity to visit Reid Park Zoo for a day of relaxation, reflection, and enjoyment.
At Gospel Rescue Mission, we believe workforce development is about more than building job skills and preparing for employment. It’s about investing in the whole person. We wanted to provide our guests with an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation as they continue moving forward on their journey.
Growth requires balance. While our guests work hard to pursue education, employment, and personal development, it’s equally important to care for their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Taking time to rest and reflect helps prevent burnout, renew perspective, and strengthen the resilience needed to keep moving forward.
We want every guest to know that their story matters and that they are capable of achieving more than they may have ever imagined, knowing, that they are exactly where God needs them to be in this season of their journey.
Each step forward—no matter how small—is progress worth celebrating. We are honored to walk alongside them as they gain confidence, discover new possibilities, and build a brighter future filled with hope and purpose.
