When the Storms Rise, God Remains

Matthew 1:23
“Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’”

This is the theme of Christmas: God is with us.

Jesus was born and lived among us. Through His birth, we see that God is truly present with His people. He lived, He died, He rose again, and now He lives in us. He will never leave us nor forsake us—He is ever-present.

God is with us!

He is God in the storms—present in the difficult times that rise up without warning.

Never let the presence of a storm cause you to doubt the presence of God.

When the storm continues to rage, it’s easy to lose hope—but hold on.

In Acts 27:21–25, Paul was caught in a violent storm. The wind was howling, and the waves were crashing. It looked as though they would never make it through to the other side. They had given up all hope.

Yet in verse 25, Paul tells the ship’s crew, “So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as He told me.”
Never let the presence of a storm cause you to doubt the presence of God.

No matter what storm you are facing today, remember this:
He is with you. You may have to go through the storm, but His Word is always true—and the sun will shine again.

Faith is not in what I see—faith is in what God says.
