GRM Hosts First National Day of Prayer Celebration Filled with Faith, Hope, and Community

Gospel Rescue Mission proudly celebrated its very first National Day of Prayer at GRM — and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment the event began, you could feel the presence of the Lord moving throughout the building, touching hearts and bringing people together through faith, hope, and prayer. The day served as a powerful reminder of GRM’s mission to inspire, encourage, and point people toward the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

The celebration was filled with uplifting performances, powerful guest testimonies, heartfelt poetry, raffle prizes, worship, and open prayer that brought encouragement, healing, and joy to everyone in attendance. A special thank you goes to Joyce from Pastoral Care and Management, whose dedication and leadership helped bring this beautiful event to life. What made the day even more meaningful was that it was truly created for the guests and by the guests.

Throughout the event, many shared moving reflections about the impact of the day:

“This is a blessing.”
— Barb Marquez, After Care Coach

“I’ve never seen anything like this at GRM, and I’ve been here almost 5 years. I think this tops it — it’s beautiful.”
— Michael Williams, Recovery Coach

“I think it’s beyond beautiful, beyond precious, beyond great, and I say that’s all due to the fact that Jesus Christ is all over the Gospel Rescue Mission.”
— Ivan Pena, Guest

“It’s been amazing, more than what I expected. The awesome thing about this first annual National Day of Prayer is that it’s put on for the guests and by the guests.”
— Joyce, Pastoral Care & Manager

We thank God for every person who attended, participated, shared their gifts, and opened their hearts during this unforgettable celebration. It was a powerful day filled with faith, community, healing, and the love of Jesus Christ moving throughout Gospel Rescue Mission.
