Love That Waits Well
In Romans 5:3–4, Paul reminds us:
“We also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
“We also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
Patience is not passive.
It is built in the waiting.
Throughout Scripture, we see men and women who trusted God even when the answers did not come quickly. Abraham waited years for the promise of a son. Joseph endured betrayal and prison before stepping into his purpose. David was anointed king long before he ever sat on the throne.
In every season of waiting, God was still working.
Psalm 27:14 says:
“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart.”
Patience is choosing to trust God’s timing over our own.
It is believing that even in silence, delay, or difficulty, He has not forgotten us.
Sometimes we want immediate answers, immediate healing, immediate breakthrough.
But God often uses the waiting to shape our hearts, deepen our faith, and draw us closer to Him.
Love is patient because God is patient with us.
His love does not rush, abandon, or give up.
Instead, He walks with us through every season with grace, mercy, and faithfulness.
So this week, if you find yourself growing weary in the waiting, remember:
God is still moving.
God is still faithful.
And what He has promised, He will fulfill in His perfect time.
