Powering Hope Through Sustainability

Thanks to the generous support of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA), Gospel Rescue Mission (GRM), in partnership with Technicians for Sustainability (TFS), is installing solar panels at its building located at 3481 S. Michigan Street in Tucson.

The building currently houses Opportunity Coffee and Cafe, part of the social enterprise component of GRM’s Workforce Development Program, and will eventually serve as home to additional social enterprise initiatives, along with GRM’s administrative and executive offices.

Once completed, the solar installation is expected to provide up to 100% of the building’s current and future energy needs. By reducing long-term operational costs, the project will help direct more resources toward programs and services that support men, women, and children experiencing homelessness and hardship in our community.

Gospel Rescue Mission is deeply grateful to CFSA for investing in sustainable, long-term impact that strengthens both the organization and the community it serves. Their support helps expand GRM’s ability to provide hope, workforce opportunities, and pathways toward stability and self-sufficiency.

GRM also extends sincere appreciation to TFS for its continued partnership and expertise. This project builds upon the solar infrastructure installed by TFS at the Center of Opportunity campus last year, which currently helps provide power to GRM’s 4550 S. Palo Verde Road campus.
