Who He Says You Are

As we continue looking at who we are, it’s important to know four things.

Your Position – Once we enter into a relationship with Jesus, our position changes. We can now go boldly before God. We are no longer the same as we once were.

2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Your Purpose – We now have a Kingdom purpose. Our purpose is not all about us and what we want to achieve. Our goals and purpose begin to line up with God’s.

Ephesians 2:10: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Your Power – We tend to look at the word power in two ways. Either, “I have none and can’t do anything,” or, “I’ve got this in my own strength.” With Jesus, our strength lies in what He does in and through us.

Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

Your Possibilities – Our possibilities are not limited by what we think we can do or what our circumstances dictate to us.

Ephesians 3:20: “God can do exceedingly abundantly beyond all you can ask or think.”

So, as we begin to see ourselves the way Jesus sees us, let’s remember that we are not who we were, but who He says we are. When we understand that, we will see transformation take place.
