Removing Transportation Barriers
Transportation can be one of the greatest obstacles for individuals facing homelessness or urgent need. Even free public transit can feel overwhelming, unsafe, or impossible to navigate—especially in moments of crisis. The OPERATION RESCUE Shuttle Service will exist to ensure no one is left behind.
By providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation, we will meet guests where they are and bring them directly to Gospel Rescue Mission’s Welcome Center and program locations. Along the way, staff and volunteers offer reassurance, dignity, and support—transforming a simple ride into a welcoming first step toward help. These journeys remove barriers, build trust, and create a critical pathway to hope, healing, and lasting transformation.
Why It Matters
Access to transportation is critical for reaching essential services, attending appointments, and pursuing opportunities for stability and transformation. The Shuttle Service eliminates logistical barriers, making it easier for guests to access meals, clothing, housing support, and recovery programs.
