becoming whole again
Patrick and Jackie came to Gospel Rescue Mission at different points in their lives, both searching for hope and a fresh start. Through Workforce Development and Opportunity Coffee & Cafe, they discovered more than job skills—they found confidence, purpose, and the opportunity to build a new future. Read how their journeys have come full circle as they now use what they’ve learned to encourage and invest in others.
When I got here, I saw this is a place of opportunity

Meeting People Where They Are
Our best kept secret of the cafe is every recipe tells a story.
A little over a year ago, your generosity helped us launch the Opportunity Coffee & Cafe—our first Social Enterprise! Since then, we’ve opened our permanent cafe and have trained 31 guests as they continue rebuilding their lives!
When guests enter the program, they’re learning far more than how to make a great cup of coffee. They’re discovering what they’re truly capable of.
Every item on our menu is made from scratch, giving interns, staff, and managers the opportunity to continue learning culinary techniques, customer service, leadership, and business operations in a real-world environment.
It’s more than just another cafe. It’s a place where confidence grows, creativity flourishes, and guests begin to see themselves differently.
